The Egg and Eye

My creativity......... (calculating) .............. Please tilt for best results.

Top ten things I wanted to do:

- Egg buddies short film
- Four elements: bury it, harsh winds (or freeze it), submerge it in water, and burn it
- Bracelet
- Guitar pick
- Pencil holder for desk
- Pasties with tassels (lol)
- Pass it around to my most talented friends one at a time to see how well they can come up with something that plays off of the last owner
- Slow-motion footage of it being shot
- Poem about its reference to life
- Footage of it left in a fake nest in a random lobby

I think that giving me as much freedom to do whatever my heart desired to the eggs caused my brain to explode.  The lesson I learned from this activity is the need to harness and channel my creativity to a manageable size while also letting it run around the neighborhood like a loose puppy.

My Course Expectations

Well.... I'm already convinced that this is a class like no other.  Who doesn't want to see the world from a new perspective?  Maybe I should say: What open-minded person doesn't want to see the world from a new perspective?  I pretty much took this course to literally slap the creative part of my brain in the face and say, "Calm down and take a deep breath."  In translation, true creativity doesn't have to be hard work.  A lot of the time, less is more.  And the most genius of ideas come to the mind when least expected.  So overall I am prepared to be blindfolded and take that leap into uncharted territory with Beth as my guide (mentally and maybe physically, lol).
